Bahau

Leaving to Bahau tomorrow morning for a primary school reunion dinner at Bahau. Lived there for 16 years (since birth) until my father got transferred to Slim River, Perak when I was 16. He did get transferred back to Bahau before his retirement. But I think the last i went there was almost 8 to 10 years ago. Wonder how does the town look like now. Going early to shoot some photos of the little town.

I2A

Attended intermediate to advance photography class at Nikonian Academy last Sunday. It was fun and challenging class as we have to work in groups to capture business/fashion portraiture, product and food. My team members were Daniel (the lighting pro) and Nazrul (Tebu photography). Our model for portraiture was Jojo. For product shoots, we used my watch and for food, we decided to drop a tomato into a jar filled with water + 2 limes and also hennesy bottles. It looked easy, but it was challenging to shoot as how we planned. We only changed the way we wanted the portraiture as the earlier planned shoot looked simple.

Thank you to sifu, Andrew Boey, Jasemaine and Wei Liang for assisting us during the practical and post processing session.
Below are some of the shoots taken during the class.

Seremban

Came to Seremban to get my daughter's 18th month jab, and we're still here as it was raining heavily in the evening. Parents are off to India for 10 days and my sister is all alone at home. So today we're accompanying her for one night. Missing my camera. Got some ideas to mess around with the camera but, I don't have it with me.... :(. Will be heading back home tomorrow morning. so ideas need to wait for one night...

My Props at Putrajaya Wetland

After shooting at Mid Valley (Indian Wedding Expo 2010), I headed to Taman Rekreasi Air Putrajaya Wetland to shoot couples portraiture. Cheryn & TJ agreed to model for me. While waiting for them, my props posed for me... hehe...

Will upload the couple''s portraiture photos after the couple has viewed it.

Indian Wedding Expo

Jojo Events participated in Indian Wedding Expo 2010 at Mid Valley from 22nd - 25th April 2010. Our dearest Sifu, Mr. Andrew Boey was invited to give a talk on 24th April @ 11 am. The title of the talk was 'Getting Married Ar?". It was very eventful as one lucky couple won a goodie bag from Jojo Events.

Jojo Events hired Rishi and Angelyn for be their official Bride & Groom for the event. Even the couple arrived late (almost at the end of the talk), they managed to show the 4 types of smiles and posed at the Jojo Events' booths for photographers to practise 'wedding photography'. With additional lighting (2 SB800 flashes), it was fun shooting this couple.

Thanks to Andrew Boey & Michelle for inviting NAFians to practice their skills. And of course BIG thanks for my hubby n kids who followed me to Mid Valley so early. Had great lunch at Amarin after the shooting.

Below are some of the photos that I shot at the events.

The lucky couple who won a goodie bag each from Jojo Events.

Actively shooting NAFians (Jasemaine (Pro Trainer @ OP, Nazrul (Tebu), Mr. Wong & Bryan Lim)

water droplets

Thought of trying something else in photography. Read an article on how to do water droplets. But i decided to try the technique with tap instead of bowl. Placed my nissin flash at the left of the tap and triggered the flash using my camera's built in flash. Uploading two photos for now.

And while i was testing this, my little girl was busy posing for me at the other corner of the kitchen. i didn't rotate the picture. she posed like that.

After dinner, we decided to do some grocery shopping at Jusco, Tmn Equine. Just before leaving the house, took some photos of the little ones. Both wearing same t'shirt (even I have one too), but can't see the design in this photo.

Brisbane

This are some old photos taken last year at Brisbane (Oct). Didn't have time to upload in FB and blog. Hope to upload soon. hehe...

Adrian & Erin

Adrian and Erin, the youngest couple's wedding I have covered so far. They're just 22 years old, but matured enough to take this big leap in their life. They've known each other for 5 years. Very simple and beautiful wedding. I could feel God's presence during the wedding ceremony and I know God's blessings are upon them.

God bless you both Adrian and Erin.

First time covering a wedding with another shooter along. It was fun for Nazrul (Tebu Photography) and myself. I used his 17 - 55 mm f/2.8 and its a great lense. This wedding was his first church wedding he covered and he had great time. More project for the team my friend. Thank you for joining me, Tebu.

Wedding: Tamil Methodist Church, Brickfields.

Below are some of my favourite shoots from both of us.

(will upload more soon, separate post for reception)
